CryptoLogic (Wagerlogic) was formed in 1995 through the
collaborative efforts of Mark and Andrew Rivkin. The pair began
with an idea on how to develop securitized online communication
protocols, thereafter evolving into transaction settlement and
processing of gaming enterprises. The first functioning
operations of the company were as an eCash Processor, which to
this day has securely handled over US$20 billion in funds.
Around the same time in 1996, Cryptologic created its first line
of gambling software under its subsidiary company, WagerLogic,
who in turn, obtained its initial gaming license and opened one
of the internets first casinos to take real money wagers.
Intercasino, which Cryptologic used to further develop its
gaming technology - predominantly in the areas of client/server
technology and communication - was an enormous success. Other
online
casinos using Cryptologic's software and eCash processing
systems to this day are William Hill, The Ritz Club, and
Littlewoods.
Serving over 1 million clients in 240 nations
worldwide, Cryptologic decries its mission is one of
technological innovation and checked integrity. The company is
entrenched in steadfast technological research, and continues to
promote formidable obstacles to online pirating and account
hacking. One such device is the Cryptologic eCash Application
and eCash Plug-in, that uses the companies self-developed
encryption and decryption alogrithms. This secure application
is one which is designed to optimize efficiency and speed of
communication between the company's server and the personal
computers of clients - one of the technologies that Cryptologic
has built its foundation.
Cyrptologic or WagerLogic can be found on the Toronto Stock
Exchange under the name CRY, on the Nasdaq as CRYP, and on the
London Stock Exchange under the abbreviation CRP. Quarterly and
annual reports, stock information and corporate policy can be
accessed through Cryptologic's main webpage, which also contains
information on the company's eCash innovations currently
enabling clients to transfer secure funds via credit cards,
electronic checks, bank wire transfers, standard checks and
money orders online.
